New Story UF BOT Chair not happy with BD of Governors

Coming right up baby.

These studies that claim there's between a 15 and 20 percent wage gap never include experience, occupation or hours worked.

Show me an ad for a job where there's different hourly rates for work by sex and I'll show you grounds for a lawsuit

Who was more qualified.... sheesh. I hope you aren't saying because both were black they weren't the .ost or one of the best qualified for their positions. Who was more qualified to be VP, Harris or Vance? KBrown or ACB? How about to be a Judge. KBrown or K.Mizzell in Tampa or Aileen Cannon?
I never said they weren't qualified. Qualifications for those positions are arbitrary. I think the overall point is that race shouldn't matter. The only person who cared about race in the nominations was Claiborne.

Representation matters. What does it say about a diverse country with courts, boards of directors, teachers, doctors, etc. that don't mirror its population?

They all have to pass the same exams to be deemed a doctor.
You want to answer my question?

You want the guy that did the bare minimum or the best guy operating on you?

That's the difference between dei and merit.

How would you even know who was most qualified?
Brother if you are serious I wish you a lifetime of good health.

Surgical outcomes, published peer research, and what his department head thinks of his skills and technique, for starters.

No it doesn't.

I'll give you the blueprint for it.

Conduct interviews via chat, with no info about the candidates but qualifications.

BOom. Diversity and merit.

What were Harrises qualifications for VP?

Otber than cast the tie vote in the Senate, the VP doesn't do a whole lot.

You sure are horrible at trying to defend an undefendable political position. Why is everyone on your side
SO STUPID to try to defend open borders, men in women's locker rooms, affirmative action, Iran and its proxies, illegal aliens over REAL American citizens? I mean...how stupid does one have to be to try to defend these un-American views? Do you LIKE being un-American?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣... this viewpoint is simplistic. Nothing in my conversation said anything about what you posted, or just ranted about. But you seem triggered,. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Ok then why blame Biden? Claiborne wasn't POTUS or the candidate. Maybe it was just time to finally consider and choose an equally qualified individual in the group of candidates who was a black woman.

Biden capitulated. After he was the nominee, technically, he could've done what he wanted. And I'm not blaming him for anything. It's politics.

Okay. Now do the NFL and NBA.

Kamala was qualified to be president?

She ran twice and didn't win a single delegate.

I pray the dems are stupid enough to run her again in 2028.

Lol. Women are not making 85 percent of what men make.

Thats been debunked. I'm just trying to decide if a Ben Shapiro or Jordan Peterson video explaining why would annoy you more.
You would be wasting your time. The left doesn’t care about the truth. They just regurgitate what the legacy media and “The View” tell them.

There is pride in knowing that despite all the racism, homophobia, and misogyny that as a people you are still standing. Heterosexuality is the default you don't need parade and Budweiser is just fine...
No it's not. It was, is, and will always be tepid swill. And those idiots lost 20% of their shareholder market cap overnight because some idiot in marketing got cute and pissed off their base customer. Also, if you owned 1000 dollars worth of BUD stock since 2016, you would have
$530 in your equity account. It's not like their dividends make anything up. 😂

I trigger, son. You support men in women’s locker rooms. You support the issues America rebuked on 11/05/24 by a WIDE margin. We love this Country, Yiur side does not. We are not the same, son.

What do you mean thats not "what we're dealing with"? He specifically said KBrown was "an unqualified DEI hire" because she couldn't give a definition as to what a women is, which was the specific question asked in a legal context, yet here you are say there are some folks with XXY chromosomes. So in the context she, K-Brown was asked, a legal one, you just proved the point. So it isn't "very simple" are those with XXY, women? Does that make her an "unqualified DEI hire" as he stated, or a smart judge who is educated in the law and has just enough knowledge in biology to not make a definitive legal definition, because as you pointed out not all women are just XX. As I said, the GOP Senators couldn't agree on what the definition was. So yes, that is what the law also deals with.

I would add IMO you are wrong about what DEI really is... that's the problem with many. Folksthink is is only about hiring practices etc, it's not. That is an echo chamber of misinformation folks shout into.
Last post on this, but come on--K-Brown wasn't thinking about the incredible exceptions in her non-response and you know that. If she was, it was still a really, really poor answer. XXYs represent roughly 1 in 1,000, births, or about 0.1%. Almost all XXYs present themselves as males and nobody would know the difference (except many of them have problems with language.) So we're talking about something less than 0.01% of the population that has a genetic question mark on their biological identity. I would hope a Supreme Court justice, as well as any other reasonable human being, can deal with such an exception and still be able to provide a definition of men and women. Her answer, of course, had nothing to do with the biology and everything to do with politics. We can define a man and woman, and anybody that wants to can dress any way they want, act any way they want, have sex with any (adult) that they want, etc. can do so.

As with DEI, it's laughable to say those those have lived with it in the real world are defining it in an echo chamber. Every single major public company in the US used the exact same playbook for about 5 years--same training materials, same hiring practices, etc. You can use different words, claim it's different, etc., but at the end of the day, it was executed through quotas, hiring and promotion decisions based on race, and other related metrics.

You can call me a bigot or whatever and it's not going to change the reality of what DEI was in practice. The first hire I ever made in 1993 was an African American woman--and it had nothing to do with her race. She was the best candidate (among nothing but white candidates) and she was a great hire that worked for me for 15 years. It doesn't make me a better person and I never even thought about her race when I hired her (and others later). I just wanted to have the best staff possible. If that had been 100% white men, I would have done it. If it had been 100% minority women, I would have done that too. It was neither, of course.

All I have to type is "Gay" and we'll get a multi-paragraph rant.

Again, you talking a "first blush" definition. Competent judges give the answer, the full answer she gave. Which was...

No, I can't."
Blackburn then asked if she couldn't, and Jackson explained:
"Not in this context. I'm not a biologist."
She further elaborated, "Senator, in my work as a judge, what I do is I address disputes. If there's a dispute about a definition, people make arguments, and I look at the law and I decide."

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that answer. Ex, a judge might find that an inmate that has gender dysphoria as a MH issue needs to be given certain treatment, hormones, feminine wear etc, but still not define them as a woman. Another might say their gender is a woman, but not their biological sex, etc. You and other may disagree with her answer, that doesn't make her unqualified, which was the OP.

DEI initiatives aren't only about hiring practices... it is a whole lot more.

Their politics have become their religion, it is the center of their lives.

I honestly thought after Trump beat their asses last November, that they would regroup and realize they had to drop their racism and identity politics and move back to connecting with Middle America.

Instead, they have doubled-down, are openly coddling terrorists and killers, and attacking law-abiding citizens.

As someone who wants to sees the democratic party as demonic, and wants to see it destroyed, I think this is awesome.

You side with Americas enemies, son. You are worthless.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Let me try another word/phrase/term... umm lets try "stay woke"...

And now we have proof it's backfiring on them.

By accident, I heard a few minutes of Jenna Ellis' show on this morning. She had Mark Mitchell on from Rasmussen to discuss Trump's approval numbers.

For those that don't know, Rasmussen has been one of the most accurate pollsters the last three cycles, and was the most accurate in the 2024 cycle.

Mitchell said that 'we've never seen numbers like this' regarding Trump. He said Trump's approval numbers overall are about to catch where obama was in early 2009.

Then he dropped this nugget: He said they had just finished polling black voters and 51% of them approve of Trump.

For @Trail221 @bigg8tr @Mt.DoraGator that means a MAJORITY of blacks approve of President Trump.

That's coming from the most accurate pollster in America.

As I said, I hope the dems are dumb enough to continue to push racism, coddle killers and rapists. Trump's numbers shoot up every time they do.

You speak on a lot that you don't understand. Just spewing false info. A doctor has to be qualified no matter their race, DEI requires hospitals that wouldn't consider QUALIFIED women, black people, veterans, etc for the position. No one is getting "entitlements" without being identified and being allowed to vote without being citizens (except in local elections where they are residents).
Really... So your saying a paramedic who is promoted to an officer cause of DEI in charge in the back of a rescue giving drugs that could kill you if given incorrectly is false information. While not in the hospital setting it's still medical care and I certainly wouldn't want someone working on me that was given that responsibility just because they were a minority. i do understand. Speaking of military, my fishing tournament partner was a top gun pilot. Because he was top gun he was a trainer and he bitched all the time about a few female pilots he couldn't do anything about because they were female. He said multiple times they nearly crashed but because they were a minority it was nearly impossible to address. His one down fall that he is a huge tax longhorn fan. He now flies for life flight. While in the navy, he flew all over the middle east. When Obama took over he said his training budget was wiped out. He went from teaching pilots to land on an aircraft carrier at night to having to send rookie piolets out to sea with little training. That's the left for ya.

Yeah im calling bullshit on this.

You have to be carrier qualified to land on a carrier. Its a certification with classroom hours, simulator hours, and lots of flight time graded by multiple flight instructors.

They're not letting any asshole attempt to land a multi million dollar aircraft on a billion dollar ship with little training.
