Fres, don't fall into the latest 'Media Trap' on their biased reporting. They are going 'Drama Queen' in an attempt to drive the 'attention factor' up using a false narrative imo. The best example of that is their on-going attempts to make a Clark/Reese 'long standing' rivalry scenario happen, to echo the real Bird/Magic rivalry from the distant past.
IMOHO, that's a one sided deal for Reese, as she is no real competition for Clark in any way whatsoever. Clark never brings up Reese, while Reese can never pass up dissing on Clark for media attention. Reese is just an average Pro player imo, she has some talent, but it's nothing special.
As to the 'WOKE' claim on Clark, show evidence because I've missed it. Examples:
When asked if she was like Taylor Swift and supporting Harris, she deflected (no answer) and just said that everyone should get out and VOTE, but she did not say who to vote for. Being a solid and lifelong Catholic, I find it difficult to believe that she voted for pro-abortion dingbat Harris. To protect and advance her own growing and substantial BRAND, she does not actively go against the woke faction in the WNBA. More of a business decision imo. She's into her sport and her brand, while not so much if at all,,, politics.
She has always verbally honored former WNBA players as the B-Ball hero's (mostly black women) and as those that have built up the WNBA over the last 20+ years, nothing woke about that imo. She is not racist in the least, but that's not a woke indicator imo, neither am I and I'm certainly not woke....
Woke in the WNBA is over stated imo, just like LGBQ-whatever is over stated with less than 30% indicating that they are. The media pushes the loud and aggressive and their own agendas, regardless of the actual facts of the matter.
There is a long list of current and former players and coaches that give all due respect and credit to Clark, you just have to look past the agenda driven media to see/find them.
Current and former Greats of the NBA also give her the flowers she's earned and deserves:
Bird-Magic-Shak-Barkley-MJ, etc.... I don't recall any of them doing so for other WNBA players, past or current.
It's my belief, that IF you could get a vote that included every current and former WNBA player, that Clark would have a positive result, instead of the negative media derision that's being pushed.
