Tariffs

They'll have to, because their economy is built on exports, and Trump won't let them off the hook.

Biden would. The left and RINOs would. This is why China kept buying US politicians to get Congress to pass trade deals that helped China, even though the US had all the leverage.
“China kept buying politicians” - there you go. That’s the insight. Especially dems 70 years and older.

Let me help you. BUY AMERICAN..so YES...it IS good for America. I guess we can see which side sold out American manufacturing to the rest of the world...even though it hurt America. Libs do not give one chit about that...they want their cheap China chit more!

Buying American: want an example? My next car will be a Tesla or a Rivian. Why? All American. (And they are great cars)

Car brand hit most by these Tariffs? Mercedes.

And yes we are getting more revenue, driving down the deficit (Mediaid spending aside - a D problem) and I made 100,000s buying the dip.

And Trump is ripping off trade deal after trade deal.

Feeling pretty great right now.

I never said GM’s are junk and if I did I shouldn’t have. Might be my personal experience which is anecdotal. But I own a RR and won’t buy another Chevy. I can’t think of a stronger statement on personal experience than that.

But in a ranking of quality and reliability I definitely don’t think they win out.
I ran across this today at work. This has been scored like this for at least 5 years. Someones perception is THEIR reality...but not necessarily the way things are......

From J.D. Power

Chevrolet ranks highest in the truck segment with a score of 877.
GMC (876) ranks second and
Nissan (873) ranks third.

The imports have done a great job of perceived quality...but when you know the details...it simply is not true. Do not get me wrong...their cars I do believe are a step above. But not their trucks/SUV's. We are light years ahead there. They have cars with beds...not trucks.

Trump doesn't buy American.

Trump doesn't buy American.
Then you should love him. Don't all liberals hate America?

In fact, Trump would be the perfect Democrat if all the left's claims about him were true:

Trump's a racist - The dems are the party of the KKK and push abortion and believe Margaret Sanger, who founded PP and wanted abortion used as a tool to eliminate the black race, is a hero. So if Trump were a racist, the libs should love him.

Trump hates illegals - So do libs. Remember what happened when DeSantis shipped a busload of illegals to the Hamptons to live with wealthy liberals? The wealthy liberals frog-marched those smelly brown illegals right back on the bus and forced them to leave.

Trump is bad for the economy - The libs live to destroy the economy and eliminate the Middle Class. Their goal is to create a permanent under class through economic terrorism. They love it when poor people are hurting.

Trump is a dictator - This one makes me LOL the hardest. No one idolizes dictators more than liberals. Nothing gives them a stiffy more than one ruler suppressing a nation full of people. I also chuckle when they claim Trump is a a nazi. Adolph is another hero to the left.

Again, I can't understand why libs don't love Trump. Every insult the left aims at Trump describes a character trait that the left adores.

The Big Lie: Exposing the Nazi Roots of the American Left

Jul 31, 2017 · In The Big Lie, D'Souza shows that the Democratic Left's orchestrated campaign to paint President Trump and conservatives as Nazis to cover up its own fascism is, in fact, the biggest lie of all. The explosive new book from Dinesh D'Souza, author of the #1 New York Times bestsellers Hillary's America, America, and Obama's America. What is "the big lie" of the Democratic Party? That the truth behind the left's obsession with fascism and Nazism?

What is it the real history of the two political ideologies
and their origins that are being hidden by the lies of the left..

The book explores the concept of deception in political discourse, arguing that certain political ideologies have historically misrepresented their intentions and actions. It delves into the tactics used to manipulate public perception and the rewriting of historical narratives to serve specific agendas. The author examines the roots of these deceptions and their impact on contemporary politics, aiming to expose what he perceives as the true nature of these ideologies and their influence on society. Through a critical analysis, the book seeks to challenge prevailing narratives and encourage readers to question widely accepted beliefs.

This excellent book is Kryptonite to the Left, so they avoid it like the plague and would have it burned if they could.

To add

What side mandates masks that do not work, and shots that did not keep you from catching covid, but told us all lies that they did? Facisism anyone?

The majority if not all of Trump's stuff that he sells is made in China. His ties are made in China.

Correct. You know that because he told you that. Then he added that he was going to fix the trade imbalance so companies like his would move back to America and generate more money and jobs for America.

Thats when the left started attacking him. Why does the left hate America?

Trump doesn't hire American workers at Mar-a-lago.

Trump added $8.4 trillion dollars to the debt during his first term. He's already spent $200 billion plus in his first $100 days.

Biden added $8.4 trillion, Trump added $7.8 trillion, and $3.6 T of that was due to covid.

So Biden effectively added double to the US debt than Trump did.

Trump's proposed budget doesn't reduce the debt or deficit. It actually adds quite a bit to them.

So you don't even have the class to admit you lied about how much Trump added to the debt? You literally claimed what Biden added was what Trump added AND didn't point out that half of Trump's amount was due to covid.

I can see why you hate Trump.

"A better way to measure how much President Trump added to the debt is to evaluate the ten-year debt impact of the laws and executive orders he signed. We estimate that those added a combined $8.4 trillion to the debt over a ten-year period - consistent with Haley's claim."

So again, you lied. And cited sources that lied.

Grok. how much did Trump and Biden add to the US debt?
"The U.S. national debt increased by approximately $7.8 trillion during President Donald Trump’s term from January 2017 to January 2021. When he took office, the debt was about $19.9 trillion, and by the end, it was roughly $27.7 trillion. This increase was driven by significant legislative actions, including the $2.2 trillion CARES Act for COVID-19 relief, the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (adding about $1.8 trillion to deficits over a decade), and bipartisan spending bills. The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimates Trump approved $8.4 trillion in new ten-year borrowing, with $3.6 trillion from COVID relief, $2.5 trillion from tax cuts, and $2.3 trillion from spending increases. About $1.7 trillion in cash reserves held by the Treasury at the end of his term slightly inflated the gross debt figure.

The U.S. national debt increased by approximately $8.4 trillion during President Joe Biden’s four-year term, from January 2021 to January 2025. When he took office, the debt was about $27.8 trillion, and by the end of his term, it reached roughly $36.2 trillion. This figure includes debt held by the public and intragovernmental holdings, driven largely by COVID-19 relief measures like the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, other legislative spending, and executive actions."

Why lie about something that can be so easily checked? I will never understand why libs do this.

"In the recent GOP primary presidential debate, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley claimed that President Trump added $8 trillion to the national debt while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said that President Trump added $7.8 trillion to the debt. These statements are true, depending on how you measure additions to the debt. We estimate the ten-year cost of the legislation and executive actions President Trump signed into law was about $8.4 trillion, with interest."

Explained another way...

Lets say 75% of your family's grocery bill is spent at Publix, and 25% is spent at WalMart.

If Publix lowers prices by 60% and WalMart raises prices by 60%, will your overall family grocery bill go up or down?
I'll be your Huckleberry. Publix is so effing high now as it is, no one will notice. 😂 ;)

LOL. Couldn't resist but your point is well taken. Tarriffs will temporarily hurt American big consumer gluttons, but American businesses will see more robust business, hire more workers, etc.

What gets lost in the tarriff equation that it is being used as a bargaining tool to lower foreign tarriffs on our exports which will spur our GDP. The tarriffs are not really being used to collect taxes, they are a negotiating tool and a stick to whack other countries with. The end goal is to end all tarriffs on our exports. If that doesn't work, let the other exporting countries suffer when their suddenly expensive products stop selling in the US due to tarriffs.

Yep, that's a lie. Or more politely a biased guess on what MAY happen AFTER Trump left office. Thats not how you calculate how debt changes under a President. DeSantis is adding and substracting the actual numbers, which is what any honest person does.

Biden DID add $8.4 Trillion to the debt. We have the figures, we know what the debt was when Biden took office, we know what it was when he left. If you want to spin what COULD happen AFTER Biden left office, we could probably spin that number up to $10 Trillion or more. But that wouldn't be honest either, which is why we don't do that.

Same with Trump. We know what the debt was when he came into office, and we know what it was when he left.

Trump added $7.8T. And $3.6T of that was covid. Without covid, he added $4.2 T.

Biden added $8.4T. The very amount you claim Trump added. And DOUBLE the non-covid amount that Trump added.

So what? Covid screwed up the country for at least 4 years. And Biden still added more. But here's the kicker: If not for a GOP controlled House and Sinema and Manchin on the D side in the Senate, Biden would have saddled us with twice what he spent on loser Green Deal nonsense, student loan forgiveness, and all of the rest of the DEI crap that would continue on AFTER his term. Biden and Democrats are garbage and leprosy on America.

"Importantly, President Trump also proposed substantial deficit reduction in his various budgets. However, almost none of these savings were enacted into law.

As a result, both Ambassador Haley and Governor DeSantis are correct – President Trump added over $8 trillion to the national debt while the gross national debt rose $7.8 trillion during his term."
